ABOUT SHAARE TORAH

Rachael and Ryan have been members of Shaare Torah since before Jack and Dalia were born. Shaare Torah is a Conservative synagogue located in Gaithersburg, Maryland. Our ST family is very important to us and we can't wait to share this ruach filled space with family and friends as Dalia becomes a Jewish adult.

Bat Mitzvah Service FAQ

Service

Dalia will lead the Shabbat service, read from the Torah, and deliver a speech. Please remember, no cell phone use or photography is permitted in the synagogue on Shabbat.

Dress

A buttoned shirt and/or a suit for those who identify as male and a dress/skirt or pants for those who identify as female.

Customs

A Kippah is a head covering that is worn as a sign of respect to God and the place of worship. There will be a basket of Kippahs available. Those who identify as male are asked to wear one, even if they are not Jewish.
